Batman 1966 Anniversary

Dr Martin's Watercolor dyes and India Ink on illustration board. This was done in 2006 for the 40th Anniversary of the 1966 Television series, easily the biggest influence on my love of Batman and comics in general. I debuted this art at Detroit's Motor City Comic Con that year, and the immense popularity of the art earned me audiences with all the Batman celebs there: Adam West, Yvonne Craig, Julie Newmar, and Burt Ward. Beyond that, it earned me a hug and kiss from both Yvonne and Julie. Undoubtedly one of the greatest weekends of my life.

Today I post it in celebration of the announcement that Warner Bros. has FINALLY acquired the rights to do merchandising based on the series... this puts us on the road to FINALLY getting a DVD release of the series. The best news I've heard in a LONG time, Bat-fans!
