a MAJOR thank you to everyone praising issue 3! It's evident this is everyone's favorite so far, and the praise has been very kind. My great hope is to see some Cosplay/costuming from this issue!!
It was a great joy to give a bit of background on how the Changelings and their beloved Queen work. Now that we're done with the story on our part (one more issue for you guys in readerland), I DEARLY miss Chrysalis! Easily my favorite of the whole cast to draw! I can't wait for you guys to see issue 4!! Chryssy is best Monster!
A few people have asked if Katie and I have left the book, as issue 5 introduces a new creative team. Heaven forbid! No, Katie and I are taking a brief step back and allowing ourselves to work on everyones favorite drama queen, the Rarity one-shot, part of a 6 issue series featuring each Mane pony. We'll be back with issue 9, and we've got ALL KINDS of goodies in store for you guys! Please give our new team as much love as you have to us, they've also got lots of pony goodness planned!

Daily Needs 
Luckily I was at my local Hot Topic(at Mayaguez Mall) and they had the Hot Topic version of issue #3.
And I'm happy because it was really good.
There were 5 things I liked:
1) The Chupacabra reference made me laugh in stitches
2) I was surprised at the Spaceballs reference(it was the part where the CMC were explaining how Chrysalis and her army captured the "Wuv Cats" town. It was the "Now" Now part) Then again maybe it's just me who noticed it.
3) Pinkie's weird costume. It so ridiculous it's awesome!
4) Chrysalis trying to understand Pinkie's antics.
And finally Chrysalis ordering one of her minions to give her an anti acid(Burp-o-bismol). Now that was clever!
But there was something that I'm curious about.....what did Chrysalis do with that cute critter? Did she squashed him or did she ate him? Whatever it was it was truly awesome! Evil.....but awesome!
Now the wait for issue #4 begins!
Also showed him the "THUMP" panel, his jaw dropped, and he said he'd have to read it.

I almost expected her to go to the Littlest Pet Shop, buy a puppy, then take it outside and kick it!
And she so would get off on it... BECAUSE SHE'S FRIGGIN' EVIL!!
Which is going to make it soooooo satisfying when she gets bucked in the face (or whatever punishment is in store for the devilish bug pony queen).
I noticed a little hidden something on one of the pages, though, and was wondering if you could explain it to me. On the page where Twilight and Fluttershy fall down the hole, in the top panel, hidden way in the back amongst the trees is a pony in a suit and hat just standing there watching them. I feel like this is a reference to something, but I'm at a loss for what it could be. Care to offer any insight?
Oh, and Rainbow trying to make a fire without "thumbs" ("fingers," really). I laughed so hard!
