Blame my sister! Luna and more from MLP 9 by andypriceart Blame my sister! Luna and more from MLP 9 by andypriceart
I never thought this panel would get the reactions it did... some fans were delighted, some were outraged. Fans went nuts over Luna's shirt. I wasn't trying to say anything... I just thought it was funny.

The other LUDICROUS fan response was to Mr Waddle, the little old-man pony. Somebody said that by including him, we were saying that Catholicism played a part in MLP. First: i drew him the way he appeared in the cartoon, collar and all. Second: IT'S A CARTOON, stop over-analyzing!

Luna's ever-changing t-shirt slogan was inspired by an episode of The Twilight Zone, in which Ron Glass plays a demon tempting Sherman Hemsley out of his soul... he wore a red shirt that changed about every third scene.

A few more fun things I did with the page was the return of the Thomas Magnum pony alongside Rarity's parents, and having Vinyl ditch the damned club music for some of the Fab Four!

That episode of the Twilight Zone...was it when the devil was giving the newspaper reporter all the headlines before they happened? It had something to do with the typing machine, I think. Great episode. Gotta love the Twilight Zone.

Anyway, I always loved Luna's shirt. And even if you were saying something with it, who cares? There's enough art and music and animation and fanfiction out there if I want something that agrees with my headcanon or ideas about the show.

i just had to thank you for this, considering the actual show of mlp would instantly try to cover up anything that might in some way be over analyzed to the point it could be offensive. but no, you stand by your vision and work, and i really appreciate that. thank you for this.
as a side note, anyone who is reading feel free to ignore this part, but i've recently decided to get back into star trek (something i had watched as a small child, i couldn't remember much) and i've got to say the concepts they present in the show are revolutionary, to say the least. but reading some "did you know" facts/rumors, i've realized that roddenberry had to compromise and a lot of his ideas were left out of the show, and now i'm left wondering all the visions and ideas of his that i didn't get to experience. as a conclusion to anyone who read this part, i am glad the writer/artist didn't compromise and allowed everyone to experience his original idea. :)
