Replies have been sent to those picked for the commission slots for this year's BRONYCON! Sorry I couldn't get to everyone, but time was extremely limited for me. I'll be attempting to open commission slots before New York Comic Con as well, if I can. If you were not picked, there is still the chance to get one at the show! Get there early, I always have a line!

So, Bronycon! a fun and very busy show! I'll be drawing, and moderating 3 panels...in fact, I'm moderating the Voice Actor panel!!! Such fun, I'm very excited to be on stage with the personalities behind the show! And now that my pony persona has appeared on the show, I feel a little more qualified to be up there :)

A note about conventions: BRING CASH. I say this constantly. CASH CASH CASH. Not all vendors accept credit, and those that do sometimes cannot get a signal. Nobody turns down cash. Also, remember to set aside money for food, parking, etc. Approach this like Vegas... Tell yourself what you will spend and take only that. Set your schedule... lots going on at the same time... huckster room, panels, costuming... Lot's to see!

I'll be there at the show in Baltimore, doing commissions, quick sketches, and selling prints and art as I have the past 2 years. I'll also have pages of original art from the comics with me for sale!
Original art/covers/pages will be priced as marked.
11x17 open edition prints are $20
13x19 Limited/signed deluxe prints are $40
Quick 4x5 pencil head sketches are $10- I do these all day long! (one additional head- $10)
9x12 Pencil full figure sketches are $60- There is limited space each day for these (2 figure is $90)
9x12 Grayscale Marker commission sketches are $120 -These are most limited as they take the longest. I try to take some each day, but it's not guaranteed. Get there early! (2 figure is $180)

See you in Baltimore!

This year I'm going to offer "Pre-order" Commissions! PLEASE READ EVERYTHING CAREFULLY. Please do not send commission spot requests through comment section

Normally, I do not do "pre-order" commissions for conventions; my schedule rarely allows such a thing. However, for the quickly upcoming Bronycon, I'm going to offer three pre-show commission slots! I will still be taking a Small list of commissions at the show as usual but this gives people who might be interested in having a full-sized commission, but are unable to get to the show first thing each morning a chance to get on the list (also saves those pesky lines!)

There are 2 spots for 9x12 single-figure gray-scale or color marker commissions. These are $120 each. Double-figure is $160 (no more than two figures per commission).

It should be noted that I will NOT be doing full color at the show, only gray-scale marker. For examples of grayscale marker commissions, please take a look at my gallery, there are a few shown.

There is 1 spot for an 11x17 gray-scale or color marker commission. This one is $400 for single-figure, $500 for double-figure, $600 for triple-figure.

Ponies or people, absolutely no adult material. "Pin ups" are fine. No personal/fan portraits. Original characters are considered with supplied, clean and clear reference.

All suggestions are entertained, but if there are a number of people wanting them, I will pick which I'll be doing. Feel free to contact me with further questions, I will reply as best I can. All pieces will be done and ready for in-person pick-up ONLY (no shipping, sorry) at Bronycon.

If you are interested, please contact me here by sending a private note to my Deviantart mailbox(please do not send requests through comment section of this journal) on Deviant Art to work out details of payment and pickup. Requests that are made through other venues or means outside of Deviant art mailbox will not be considered.

ALL COMMISSION REQUESTS MUST BE IN BY
THURSDAY NIGHT AT 10 pm EST TO BE CONSIDERED.

I will contact the people chosen through private message so as to not reveal any gifts/etc. Good luck and thank you!

MLP Day at the Beach by andypriceart
MLP Day at the Beach
It's FAR from being finished, but I wanted everyone to get a sneak peek at the new deluxe print that will be available at Bronycon later this summer! Once the final piece is ready, I'll post it.

This will also likely end up as a comic cover in the near future as well!

As most of my followers/fans know, I don't often do digital color, but how I approach inking on artwork dictates how color will be done. Traditional comic book inking is India ink with brush or pen, and effect/corrections with white paint. Markers or paint can reactivate the ink and smear it, or have adverse reaction to the white paint, so digital is the simplest approach in this case. Check out some of my copic marker pieces for how I approach inking there.

The Haunted Mansion issue 6, Doom of the Diva by andypriceart
The Haunted Mansion issue 6, Doom of the Diva
Back in 2006, Slave Labor Graphics Publishing had a short-lived comic of Disney's Haunted Mansion. Short stories in each issue told tales of different ghosts. Alice (then my fiance) and I decided we wanted to do a story as a wedding gift for ourselves, telling the story of the opera singer seen in the graveyard of the ride and how she came to be one of the 999 residents of Gracey Manor.

This is the final page from the story that we did- she wrote, I illustrated- that appeared in issue 6 of the comic. At that time, the "Emily" bride in the attic had recently been replaced with the deadly "Constance" bride, and the ax reflects that. There's even a reference to the Nightmare before Christmas "Haunted Mansion Holiday" makeover that occurs at Disneyland every winter.

The desire was to reflect the old horror comics of DC, Warren, and EC, where the tale is told by a narrator character. In this case, the narrator is the graveyard bust of Disney alum Thurl Ravenscroft.

I just grabbed issue 33 of My Little Pony and I loved your cover with each of the ponies spoofing individual vampire characters. I was able to recognize all of them except for Twilight. My only guess is Lestat, but I could be wrong there.

Hey! Was so cool of them to incorporate your own and Katie Cook's OCs in today's episode.

I'm happy they did. And in the same way, made them canon.

The MLP comics you and Katie Cook do together are just phenomenal! Volumes 3 and 5 are my favorites by far. Besides the great storytelling and art, each one is a treasure trove of pop culture references and background characters carried over from your previous works. The StarTrek references are especially amusing! Can you shed any light about the mysterious spy ponies that are always lurking about in the background?

I'm looking forward to your next volume!
