Well, I'm exhausted.

In the middle of finishing up MLP FF #8 with Rarity and Applejack, I was also packing for a move. Now that I've left Alabama (after 36 years!!) I'm now in Georgia, and attempting to set up house/studio amongst another deadline... and attempting to prepare for the show that haunts us.
San Diego Comic Con! Yep, I'll be there, in artist alley... I'll be taking commissions, doing sketches, selling prints and original art.

And then, the immediate weekend after, is Bronycon in Baltimore!! If you were there last year, you saw the line for myself and Katie Cook... We're hoping to be more prepared this year, but all bets are off!

And then, the following weekend, I'll be in Boston for Boston Comic Con!

I'm gonna need a really long nap before Dragon Con at the end of the month!!

So you're a total traditional artist? Like completely by hand or do you line and color with a digital program?

I simply have to say this...
thank you so much for all the HM references in the FiM comics.
That fusion is literally my favorite thing in the whole world (being a crazy HM lady and all!)

I hope my boyfriend (he's also a Mansion nut) and I can meet ya at a con someday and we can high-five you for being awesome!
Thanks for reading my comment and have a nice day!

everfreefilly.tumblr.com/tagge… clearly, not trying to imply we needed one, but if it can get the wheels turning towards maybe a Friends Forever or more background scenes, mmm~ sure why not. :D

But seriously, would mean a lot if you were able to give my friend there a bit of critique on his line work, maybe give a bit of how one gets into the field advice, it would make his world.

Also, I think we need more characterization up in these rivals to the CMC in the official works. Everybody is cooking without the spice! ;D

Btw, looking forward to the new arc with Trixie. God she was adorable in that Friends Forever. Trixie just has the face for showbiz, and Royalty!

Just letting you and Katie know that for every insulting reaction you get to the Reflections arc, there are probably dozens who loved it and will cherish it forever.  I am one of the latter.

"Just letting you and Katie know that for every insulting reaction you get to the Reflections arc, there are probably dozens who loved it and will cherish it forever."

This comic arc sold like this:

17: Sold 26,683 comics.
18: Sold 26,091 comics.
19: Sold 22,820 comics.
20: Sold 20,711 comics.

Enope, it kept selling less and less despite your fantastic claims about "dozens of people" outnumbering every person who disliked this arc.

Liking something is great.

Pulling stuff out of your ass to blindly defend something just because *you* like it is definitely not great.

Classy.  I just wanted to be a positive voice because people were calling for Andy and Katie to be FIRED on their own dA profiles.

You want math?  Fine.  1 out of 5 people who bought issue 17 or 18 didn't buy issue 20.

Then there are the uncountable multitudes who read the issue from pirate sites, or when someone on 4chan storytimed it, or read the whole arc in a permissive comic store but didn't buy any of the issues.  There are also the people who are going to purchase the trade paperback compilation of the arc, but it isn't out yet.  Literally unmeasurable.

One more thing: were those numbers put out within a month of the release of #20?  Sometimes, people with "pull boxes" at comic stores make monthly runs.  I've sometimes gone as long as three months between runs, mostly due to money.  I don't know enough about how comic book sales stats are compiled to knowledgeably comment, but it might be a factor.

Nice goalpost moving and nice "I just wanted to be a nice guy" backpedaling

You want cold facts? The comic sales decreased and those numbers proved it. End of sthe story, since reading cheap scans or reading the comic for free will not put money in IDW's pocket.

Want sources for comic book sales? Try www.comichron.com/monthlycomic… for example.

Much better and accurate than simply yelling "Don't listen to the haters!" which is both patronizing and highly offensive.

Hell, I wish I could tell my customers that for every person discontent with our company's performance, there are dozens who loved and cheered it forever so they have no right to try having any kind of negative opinion and if they still want to, they are "classy".
